About Hinckley Dressage

Sandra and QuixoteHinckley Dressage is an Area 5 affiliated riding club concentrating on dressage. Many of our members compete on a regular basis and we offer all levels of competition (from preliminary to advanced), regular training clinics and informative social evenings. Riders of all levels are welcome whether they be new to the sport or old hands at it, we all learn from each other.

The club runs monthly competitions with the season starting at the beginning of January, this coincides with our membership year. Classes are held at all levels from preliminary to advanced with the preliminary, novice and elementary levels being split into junior, restricted and open sections. We are based at Blaby Mill and offer a friendly competitive atmosphere with riders encouraged to come along and have a go, even if it is at a new level.

Points are awarded throughout the season based on competition placings and these are used to determine the winners of the club championships at the end of the season. Trophies are awarded for the championships and are presented, along with other awards, at our A.G.M. and social evening which is usually held in January.

As a club we also offer regular training clinics throughout the year from top national and international trainers. We also arrange clinics with listed judges to help you to improve your test riding.

As well as this web site we also provide a monthly newsletter, just to keep in touch!

Our club is run by a voluntary committee, who work very hard for everyone's enjoyment and success. We like to receive input from the members, especially for the future development of the club.

Sandra Smith, Club Chairman.
