Hinckley Newsletter July 2010

I hope you have all been enjoying the fabulous weather! Long may it continue!

Many of you have already got your qualification scores for the summer championship show in October, but there is plenty of time left for those of you haven’t quite got there yet! There will be warm up classes on the day at each level, these will be open to anyone but they will not carry points to the end of year trophies. There will only be one section in each championship class, everyone will be open. This has been decided as it is the first year of the competition and it will make it clearer for everyone competing, especially as people soon move out of restricted and probably have one qualifying sheet at each level!

The Highest overall percentage in all of the championship classes will win a trophy and the same for the Junior with the highest overall percentage in the championship classes too.   There will be special rosettes and sashes so tell your friends as there is still time to qualify.

We have been asked about arranging some Dressage to Music classes, but this is quite involved so if anyone is interested in having a go at music classes can you please get in touch with a committee member so we can see how much interest we have.

Sarah Lindsey and Carolyn Chapman represented Hinckley Dressage at the British Riding Clubs Festival of the Horse at the beginning of June. Both did extremely well with Sarah winning and Carolyn coming second. Sarah went on to take the Ridden Championship and the Supreme Championship. Congratulations to both of you and thank you for representing Hinckley Dressage.
