Hinckley Dressage run regular competitions with classes at all levels from Preliminary to Advanced. Entries are welcome from non-members as well as members, members receive a discount on the entry fee. It is our aim to encourage riders of all standards from those at their first competition to established competititors who wish to get experience of higher level tests. There are always supportive members present to help newcomers with test reading or general moral support.
Classes at the lower levels are split in to junior, restricted and open sections. The junior section is available to junior members only and the restricted section is only open to less experienced members.
Our aim is to offer well organised and friendly competitions. We will always attempt to get listed judges and competitions are carried out under British Dressage rules (any exceptions are detailed for each competition).
In order to ensure safety whilst working in it has been decided to restrict the number of horses in the working in area at any one time to 4. A running order will be posted at the entrance to the working in area and the use of numbers will enable competitors to check when they are permitted to enter the working in area. This will allow a minimum of 28 minutes for each competitor.
In order to ensure that competitions run smoothly and safely it is necessary to limit entries to 65. Places will be allocated to those entries received before the closing date on a first come first serve basis. In the event of all entries being filled priority will be given to members. Late entries will only be accepted if there are still places available.
