September Chairmans Update

Thank you for letting me know who has qualified at the regionals, it was very nice to hear from some of you and it would be nice to hear from even more of you. We like to know what are members are up to so keep in touch.

Congratulations goes to the following members who qualified for this years regional championships: Anne-Mette Browne who qualified at both Novice and Elementary on Portrandle, Mary-jo Crawford on Class Act at Elementary, Leanne Ritchie on Aslam at Prelim, Fiona Truman on Oh Brother at Advanced Medium, and our trainers too, Clair Gordon qualified at Medium and Advanced Medium on Resolute and Spencer Wilton Qualified at most levels and is through to the National championships at most levels so watch for him in the results or better still watch how it should be done.

I have an extra special congratulations to go to Louise Justesen riding Charlie, she was chosen to represent England by riding at the Blarney junior championships in July where she won team Gold and individual Silver. So a big cheer to you Louise and we look forward to seeing you in the winter!

It will be our A.G.M. very soon and it would be really nice to see a lot of you again without our four legged friends for a change. They seem to keep us all very occupied at the shows so this is our night. This is being held at the Royal Arms, Sutton Cheney on Friday 3 rd October. There are lots of trophies and Special rosettes to be awarded and the food is always excellent as is the company. This year we have a representative from I.L.P .H coming along to present the trophies and we will be presenting them with a cheque which we have been fundraising all year. There will be a raffle, if anyone would like to donate a prize please contact me.

We the committee are stretched very thin, we only have twelve members and we run eleven or twelve shows each year and training every month, if there were more of us we could probably do more or even a little less. We are desperate for more help to keep the shows on the road, just an hour or two on a show day would be fantastic, but we would really like some new ideas and new input to the club. We are very friendly and we only meet about every six weeks for two hours so it isn't too demanding, but it is entertaining. Talk to an existing member if you are interested and we will look forward to seeing you soon.

It is nearly that time again when we would like you to subscribe for next year. This year we have decided to make even more of our Christmas show and at the same time restrict it to members only so make sure you subscribe soon. Also the quicker you become a member the quicker you can start gaining points for next year's trophies. The fee is remaining the same for another year.

I am still organising training on a monthly basis if any of you are interested please let me know as there are a few spaces available with all of them, see separate sheet for more details.
